About the Mercedes-AMG C 63 W206
The W206-generation C 63 marks a radical departure for AMG, replacing the traditional V8 with a sophisticated P3 hybrid powertrain. At its heart is the M139l engine, featuring an electric exhaust-gas turbocharger derived from Formula 1 to virtually eliminate lag. A rear-mounted electric motor with its own two-speed gearbox provides instant torque and enables a fully variable 4MATIC+ all-wheel-drive system with a dedicated Drift Mode. Despite its significant weight increase due to the 6.1 kWh battery and hybrid hardware, it delivers supercar-level acceleration and remains a technical tour de force in the performance saloon segment.
