About the Mazda Demio DW

The first-generation Mazda Demio, known internally as the DW, was a surprise success that helped pull Mazda out of a financial slump in the late 1990s. Marketed as a 'mini-MPV' due to its tall roofline and versatile seating, it offered significantly more interior space than contemporary superminis like the Ford Fiesta. The 1.3 LXi trim was a popular mid-range choice in the UK, featuring the reliable B3 engine. While not a performance car, its light weight and functional design made it a cult favourite for urban practicality.
