About the Marussia B2
Unveiled at the 2009 Frankfurt Motor Show, the Marussia B2 was the aggressive successor to the B1, featuring a striking 'M-shaped' front fascia and jet-fighter-inspired bodywork. Built on a lightweight aluminium semi-monocoque chassis with carbon-fibre panels, it utilised a mid-mounted 2.8-litre V6 engine developed by Cosworth. Despite significant hype and a planned production run at Valmet Automotive in Finland, the company collapsed in 2014 following financial difficulties and the tragic death of F1 driver Jules Bianchi. Most examples remain in Russia, making it an exceptionally rare and mysterious piece of modern automotive history.
