About the Land Rover Range Rover Sport SVR L494
Launched in 2015 as the flagship of the L494 generation, the Range Rover Sport SVR was the first production model from Jaguar Land Rover's Special Vehicle Operations (SVO) division. It features a 550hp supercharged V8, a retuned ZF 8-speed gearbox, and a unique active exhaust system that produces a signature crackling soundtrack. Despite its 2.3-tonne weight, it famously lapped the Nürburgring in 8 minutes 14 seconds, yet retains the low-range transfer case and air suspension required for genuine off-road capability. The 2015 model is distinguished by its aggressive front intakes, blue Brembo calipers, and specialized SVR sports seats.
