About the Land Rover Defender 90 L663
The Defender 90 is the short-wheelbase, three-door body of the L663 Defender, launched in 2020 on Land Rover's aluminium D7x monocoque and built in Nitra, Slovakia. Its 2,587 mm wheelbase is 435 mm shorter than the 110's, which gives it the tightest turning circle and the best ramp angle in the range, and it seats five, or six with the optional front jump seat. The D250 is its entry diesel: a 3.0-litre Ingenium six-cylinder with 48-volt mild-hybrid assistance, an eight-speed automatic and permanent four-wheel drive with a two-speed transfer box. It is the closest the modern Defender comes to the compact proportions of the original.
