About the Lancia Delta HF Integrale
The Delta HF Integrale Evoluzione, often called the 'Deltona', was the final homologation version of the most successful rally car in history. Introduced in late 1991, it featured significantly wider front and rear tracks, flared wheel arches, and a distinctive adjustable roof spoiler to improve aerodynamics and cooling. The 16-valve turbocharged engine was refined to produce 210 PS, delivered through a permanent four-wheel-drive system with a Torsen rear differential. It remains a benchmark for tactile steering and mechanical grip, representing the peak of Lancia's engineering before their withdrawal from factory rallying.

Lancia Delta HF Integrale fun facts
- The Evoluzione's signature 'box flared' arches were necessary to accommodate the wider track and larger 15-inch Speedline wheels required for competition.
- Despite its rally pedigree, the Evo I lacked an anti-lock braking system (ABS) as standard, which was only introduced on the later 'Evo II' models.
- Lancia won six consecutive WRC Manufacturers' Championships with the Delta platform between 1987 and 1992, a record that still stands today.
