About the Lancia Beta

The Lancia Beta Coupé was the first model developed under Fiat ownership, featuring a shortened wheelbase compared to the Berlina and a distinct 2+2 body styled in-house by Piero Castagnero. The 2000 trim utilized the legendary Aurelio Lampredi-designed twin-cam engine, offering a sophisticated blend of performance and handling that rivalled contemporary BMWs. Despite a reputation for corrosion issues that plagued early production, the Beta Coupé was a commercial success and remains a respected driver's car for its sharp steering and advanced independent suspension. Collectors value the 2000 for its balance of torque and classic Italian character.
