About the Koenigsegg CCXR Edition
Unveiled at the 2008 Geneva Motor Show, the CCXR Edition is a track-focused evolution of the record-breaking CCX. It is distinguished by its fully exposed carbon fibre bodywork, a unique twin-deck rear wing, and 11-spoke forged aluminium wheels. The 4.8-litre engine is specifically tuned to run on E85 biofuel, allowing it to surpass the 1,000 hp barrier while benefiting from a stiffer, lowered chassis. With only four examples produced, it remains one of the rarest and most sought-after models in Koenigsegg's early history.

Koenigsegg CCXR Edition rarity in CarSpot
The Koenigsegg CCXR Edition is a Unicorn card in CarSpot, with a rarity score of 100 out of 100. The rarest tier: hypercars, one-offs and cars built in tiny numbers, typically fewer than about 500. A Unicorn card is worth 320 XP.

Koenigsegg CCXR Edition fun facts
- The visible carbon fibre body takes twice as long to manufacture as a standard painted CCX body due to the precision required to align the pinstripe-effect weave.
- Only four CCXR Editions were built, and just one of those was produced in right-hand drive for the UK market.
- The Edition features a unique 'Chronocluster' instrument panel, designed to resemble high-end Swiss watches.
