About the Kia KX3
Launched in 2015, the Kia KX3 was developed by the Dongfeng Yueda Kia joint venture specifically to meet the demands of younger Chinese car buyers. Sharing its platform with the Hyundai ix25, it features a distinctive 'tiger-nose' grille and a high-riding stance that mimics the larger Sportage. The 1.6-litre Gamma engine provides adequate performance for urban environments, though it is strictly front-wheel drive in this configuration. It was eventually succeeded by the second-generation model, which was later rebranded as the Seltos in China.
