About the Kia Joice
The Kia Joice, also known as the Carstar in its home market, was a seven-seat compact MPV developed during a transitional period for Kia following its acquisition by Hyundai. It was built on the platform of the Hyundai Santamo, which itself was derived from the second-generation Mitsubishi Chariot. Aimed primarily at the European and Asian markets, the Joice offered a utilitarian design with three rows of seating and a focus on value over style. While it lacked the refinement of contemporary European rivals, its robust Mitsubishi-derived mechanicals and competitive pricing made it a functional choice for large families on a budget.
