About the Jaguar R1
Developed by the Stewart team that Ford had bought the previous year, the R1 used a Cosworth CR-2 V10 and was raced by Eddie Irvine, newly arrived from Ferrari, and Johnny Herbert. Irvine regularly qualified it in the top ten, but its race pace was often poor and its gearbox unreliable, and his four points left Jaguar ninth in the constructors' championship. It was Herbert's final Formula One car, and his last race in Malaysia ended in a frightening accident caused by suspension failure, from which he escaped with minor injuries. Luciano Burti made his race debut in an R1 when he substituted for Irvine in Austria.

Jaguar R1 rarity in CarSpot
The Jaguar R1 is a Unicorn card in CarSpot, with a rarity score of 42 out of 100. The rarest tier: hypercars, one-offs and cars built in tiny numbers, typically fewer than about 500. A Unicorn card is worth 320 XP.
Each model's tier starts from a 0–100 score based on its value plus its power or production numbers. Once enough players have spotted a model, how often it is spotted can move it up or down one tier. How CarSpot rarity works
Rarity is a collectible game mechanic, not an assessment of real-world scarcity or value.
