About the Infiniti Q30
The Infiniti Q30 was a strategic attempt by Nissan's luxury arm to enter the competitive European premium hatchback market. Built in Sunderland, UK, it utilised the Mercedes-Benz MFA platform and switchgear from the A-Class, while the 1.5-litre diesel engine was a refined unit sourced from the Renault-Nissan Alliance. It is distinguished by its 'dramatic' exterior styling, featuring deep-sculpted body lines and a higher ride height than traditional rivals like the Audi A3. Despite its unique looks and comfortable suspension tuning, the model struggled to gain market traction, leading to Infiniti's complete withdrawal from the European market in 2019.
