About the Hyundai i30 N PD
Launched in 2017 as the debut model for Hyundai's N performance division, the i30 N was developed under the leadership of former BMW M boss Albert Biermann. The Performance trim adds an electronic limited-slip differential, larger brakes, and a variable exhaust system that produces a signature 'pop and crackle' soundtrack. It is widely praised for its old-school mechanical feel, adjustable chassis, and aggressive power delivery that challenged established rivals like the Golf GTI. While the interior is more functional than premium, its focus on driver engagement and track-ready durability made it an instant enthusiast favourite.
