About the Ford Ka Plus

Introduced to the European market in 2016, the Ka+ shifted from the city car segment of its predecessors into the B-segment supermini class. Based on the Ford Figo developed for emerging markets, it utilised a modified version of the contemporary Fiesta platform to provide surprisingly competent driving dynamics for its price point. The Zetec trim was the volume seller, offering the more powerful 85 PS variant of the 1.2-litre Ti-VCT engine. While it lacked the 'New Edge' flair of the original 1996 Ka, it prioritised five-door practicality and low running costs before being discontinued in Europe in 2019.
