About the Ford F-150 Raptor
The 2021 F-150 Raptor marked the debut of the third-generation (Gen 3) model, built on the fourteenth-generation F-Series platform. While it retained the high-output 3.5-litre EcoBoost V6 from its predecessor, the major evolution was the move to a bespoke five-link rear suspension with extra-long trailing arms and 24-inch coil springs. This setup, combined with next-generation Fox Live Valve internal bypass shocks, significantly improved high-speed stability and wheel travel. For the first time, Ford offered a factory 37-inch tyre package, further enhancing its off-road geometry and presence.
