About the Maxus eTerron 9
The Maxus eTerron 9 represents a significant shift for the SAIC-owned brand, moving from converted diesel platforms to a dedicated electric architecture. Unveiled at the 2024 IAA Transportation show, it is the first all-electric 4WD pick-up in its class to reach the European market, featuring a semi-monocoque chassis and a 102.2kWh LFP battery. The Luxury trim offers a high-specification interior with ventilated leather seats and a 236-litre 'frunk', though its 620kg payload capacity positions it more as a lifestyle vehicle than a heavy-duty commercial workhorse. It distinguishes itself with a 3.5-tonne towing capacity and an innovative 'mid-gate' that allows the rear cabin wall to drop for hauling long items.
