About the Fiat Ritmo Abarth 130 TC
The Fiat Ritmo Abarth 130 TC was the ultimate evolution of the Ritmo (Strada) range, replacing the 125 TC in 1983. It featured a 2.0-litre Lampredi twin-cam engine fed by twin Solex or Weber carburettors, making it the only hot hatch in its class to eschew fuel injection for a raucous, old-school induction setup. Distinguished by its quad headlights, Recaro seats, and a prominent rubber rear spoiler, it offered a raw and mechanical driving experience. While it suffered from the typical rust issues of 1980s Fiats, its close-ratio ZF gearbox and lightweight chassis made it a formidable rival to the Volkswagen Golf GTI.
