About the Fiat 130 Coupé

The Fiat 130 Coupé is a landmark of 1970s 'origami' design, penned by Paolo Martin at Pininfarina. While the 130 Saloon was conservative, the Coupé introduced a bold, minimalist aesthetic that influenced the Ferrari 365 GT4 2+2 and Rolls-Royce Camargue. Underneath the sharp bodywork lies a 3.2-litre V6 designed by former Ferrari engineer Aurelio Lampredi, paired with a sophisticated independent suspension setup. Despite its elegance and technical merit, it struggled to compete with BMW and Mercedes-Benz in period, making it a rare and sophisticated choice for modern collectors.
