About the Ferrari 599 SA Aperta
Unveiled at the 2010 Paris Motor Show, the SA Aperta is a limited-run roadster based on the 599 GTB architecture but featuring the high-output engine from the track-focused 599 GTO. It was built to celebrate the 80th anniversary of Pininfarina, with the 'SA' initials honouring Sergio and Andrea Pininfarina. The car features a lower, more raked windscreen and a reinforced chassis to maintain rigidity without a fixed roof, which is replaced by a light emergency soft top. It remains one of the rarest modern front-engined V12 Ferraris, prized for its combination of GTO performance and open-air grand touring.
