About the Ferrari 375 America
The Ferrari 375 America was the ultimate expression of Maranello's grand touring philosophy in the early 1950s, designed specifically to capture the burgeoning American market. It featured the formidable 'long-block' Lampredi V12, a detuned version of the engine that powered Ferrari's Formula 1 and sports racing cars, providing effortless high-speed cruising. With only 12 units produced, each car was a bespoke creation, featuring coachwork by Pinin Farina, Vignale, or Ghia tailored to the owner's specific tastes. Its combination of a 2,800mm long-wheelbase chassis and 300 horsepower made it one of the fastest and most exclusive road cars of its era.
