About the Ferrari 365 GTB/4 Daytona
The Ferrari 365 GTB/4, famously nicknamed the 'Daytona' following Ferrari's 1-2-3 finish at the 1967 24 Hours of Daytona, was the marque's defiant response to the mid-engined Lamborghini Miura. Designed by Leonardo Fioravanti at Pininfarina, its sharp, aggressive styling marked a departure from the rounded curves of the 275 GTB/4. Under the long bonnet sits the 4.4-litre 'Tipo 251' Colombo V12, which delivered a class-leading 174 mph top speed. It remains one of the most iconic Ferraris ever built, representing the final evolution of the traditional front-engined V12 layout before the arrival of the mid-engined Berlinetta Boxer.
