About the Ferrari 360 Modena
The Ferrari 360 Modena marked a paradigm shift for Maranello, replacing the F355 with a clean-sheet design featuring an innovative all-aluminium space-frame chassis developed with Alcoa. Its Pininfarina-styled body moved away from the sharp angles of the 1990s, favouring aerodynamic curves and a glass engine cover that showcased the Tipo F131 V8. The 3.6-litre engine features five valves per cylinder and a flat-plane crankshaft, producing a distinctive high-pitched wail. While the 'F1' automated manual was popular when new, the gated six-speed manual is now the most coveted by collectors for its tactile engagement.
