About the Eagle Premier

The Eagle Premier was the final project developed by American Motors Corporation (AMC) in partnership with Renault before Chrysler's 1987 takeover. Designed by Giorgetto Giugiaro, it featured a drag coefficient of 0.31, making it one of the most aerodynamic sedans of its era. It utilised a longitudinal front-wheel-drive layout based on the Renault 25, paired with the 3.0-litre PRV V6 engine. Though praised for its European-style handling and spacious interior, it suffered from poor marketing and reliability issues, leading to its eventual discontinuation in 1992.
