About the DeLorean DMC-12

John DeLorean’s sole production model was built in Northern Ireland for an American company and sold mainly in the United States. Unpainted stainless-steel panels and gull-wing doors made it immediately recognisable. The rear-mounted PRV V6 gives modest acceleration rather than the pace its shape suggests. Its role in Back to the Future subsequently made it one of the most recognisable cars of the 1980s.
