About the Citroën C2 VTS
Launched in 2004 as the spiritual successor to the legendary Saxo VTS, the C2 VTS brought a more modern, albeit heavier, approach to the junior hot hatch segment. It features a tuned version of the TU5JP4S engine with revised camshafts and a specific intake manifold, allowing it to rev freely to a 7,200 rpm limit. The chassis was significantly stiffened over the VTR model, gaining thicker anti-roll bars and a quicker steering rack with just 2.6 turns lock-to-lock. While it lacked the raw, lightweight agility of its predecessor, its short-ratio gearbox and punchy power delivery made it a favourite for B-road enthusiasts.
