About the Chevrolet SSR

The Chevrolet SSR (Super Sport Roadster) was a bold experiment that combined 1940s 'Advance Design' truck styling with a modern retractable hardtop. Built on the GMT360 platform shared with the TrailBlazer, the early 2003–2004 models featured the 5.3-litre Vortec V8. While its heavy kerb weight hindered outright sports car performance, it remains a unique cruiser with a high level of novelty. Its production was short-lived, but it has since gained a dedicated following as a modern-era collectable due to its eccentric design.
