About the Chevrolet Corsica

Launched in 1987 as a 1988 model, the Chevrolet Corsica was built on the L-body platform alongside its two-door sibling, the Beretta. It was designed to replace the Citation and compete with the Ford Tempo, initially offered only to fleet buyers before a full public release. The 2.0-litre OHV engine featured electronic fuel injection, a modern touch for an entry-level compact of the era. While not a performance car, its ubiquity made it a defining sight on American roads throughout the late 1980s and early 1990s.
