760 bhp

About the Caterham CT05

The CT05 was designed by Mark Smith, Lewis Butler and Hari Roberts at Caterham's Leafield Technical Centre, using Renault's 1.6-litre Energy F1-2014 power unit, a Red Bull Technology gearbox and Toyota's wind tunnel for development. Rookie Marcus Ericsson and the returning Kamui Kobayashi raced it, with André Lotterer standing in at Spa and Will Stevens driving at the Abu Dhabi finale. The car recorded 12 retirements, with Ericsson's 11th place in Monaco its best finish. Financial trouble kept the team away from the United States and Brazilian Grands Prix, and after returning for Abu Dhabi it folded before the 2015 season.
