About the Cadillac XLR
The Cadillac XLR was the production realization of the 1999 Evoq concept, spearheading the brand's 'Art and Science' design language. Built alongside the C6 Corvette at the Bowling Green plant, it shared the Y-body platform but featured a unique 4.6-litre Northstar V8 and a sophisticated power-retractable hardtop. While it offered Magnetic Ride Control and a Bulgari-designed interior, its grand-touring focus and high price point made it a rare alternative to European rivals. Today, it is valued for its distinctive angular styling and status as a low-volume American halo car.
