About the Cadillac STS
The Cadillac STS (Seville Touring Sedan) was the brand's mid-size luxury flagship, designed to compete with the BMW 5 Series and Mercedes-Benz E-Class. Built on the rear-wheel-drive Sigma platform shared with the CTS, it represented a significant shift from the front-drive architecture of its predecessor. The 4.6-litre Northstar V8 provided effortless, linear power, while the available Magnetic Ride Control suspension offered a sophisticated balance of comfort and handling. Though it struggled to match the interior refinement of its German rivals, the STS remains a notable example of Cadillac's 'Art and Science' design era.
