About the Bugatti W16 Mistral
The Bugatti W16 Mistral serves as the final road-going application of the brand's iconic 8.0-litre quad-turbocharged W16 engine. Unveiled in 2022 and limited to just 99 units, it is a bespoke roadster that shares its 1,578 hp powertrain with the Chiron Super Sport 300+. While its standard top speed is electronically limited to 420 km/h, a specially developed World Record Car achieved 453.91 km/h (282 mph) in 2024, making it the world's fastest open-top production car. The design draws inspiration from the 1934 Type 57 Roadster Grand Raid, featuring a unique 'visor' windscreen and X-shaped taillights.
