About the Bugatti EB110 Super Sport
Unveiled at the 1992 Geneva Motor Show, the Super Sport (SS) was the hardcore evolution of Romano Artioli's ambitious Bugatti revival. It featured a carbon-fibre chassis developed by Aérospatiale and a complex 60-valve V12 engine breathing through four IHI turbochargers. The SS variant shed 150kg compared to the GT through the use of carbon-aramid body panels and magnesium wheels, while power was increased to over 600hp. Despite its technical brilliance and world-record performance, production was cut short by the company's bankruptcy in 1995, leaving it as one of the rarest and most significant supercars of the 1990s.
