About the BMW iX3 G08
The BMW iX3 (G08) represents a strategic pivot for Munich, opting for a shared platform approach rather than a bespoke EV architecture. Based on the standard X3, it was the first model to debut BMW's fifth-generation eDrive technology, which integrates the motor, transmission, and power electronics into a single housing. Despite being rear-wheel drive only, it maintains the practical utility and premium cabin of its combustion siblings while offering a lower centre of gravity. The 2022 M Sport facelift introduced sharper styling, including slimmer headlights and a larger kidney grille, aligning it with the iX flagship.
