About the Bentley S3
The Bentley S3, launched at the 1962 Paris Motor Show, represents the pinnacle of the S-series before the shift to monocoque construction. It is most easily distinguished from its predecessors by its four-headlamp layout and a slightly lower radiator shell, which allowed for a more modern, raked bonnet line. Under the bonnet, the 6.2-litre all-aluminium V8 received a compression ratio increase to 9:1 and larger SU carburettors, providing a noticeable boost in performance. Inside, the cabin evolved with individual front seats replacing the traditional bench, maintaining the marque's reputation for peerless wood and leather craftsmanship.
