About the Ariel Nomad
The Ariel Nomad is the off-road sibling to the track-focused Atom, sharing its minimalist bronze-welded steel exoskeleton but adding long-travel suspension and chunky all-terrain tyres. Powered by a mid-mounted 2.4-litre Honda K24 engine, it prioritises low-end torque for scrambling over loose surfaces while maintaining a power-to-weight ratio that rivals modern supercars. The driving experience is visceral and exposed, featuring a manual gearbox, no electronic aids, and a total lack of bodywork. It is widely regarded as one of the most capable and entertaining dual-purpose vehicles ever produced, equally at home on a rally stage or a twisty B-road.

The Ariel Nomad is a Unicorn card in CarSpot, with a rarity score of 100 out of 100. The rarest tier: hypercars, one-offs and cars built in tiny numbers, typically fewer than about 500. A Unicorn card is worth 320 XP.

Rarity is a collectible game mechanic, not an assessment of real-world scarcity or value.
Ariel Nomad fun facts
- The Nomad's mudguards are made from the same flexible, durable polyethylene used to manufacture British traffic cones.
- Each Nomad is hand-built by a single technician at Ariel's Crewkerne factory, who signs their name on a plaque once the car is complete.
- Despite its off-road focus, the Nomad's chassis is derived from the Atom 3, though it is significantly reinforced to handle the stresses of jumping and rough terrain.
