About the Alfa Romeo RM
Introduced at the 1923 Paris Motor Show, the Alfa Romeo RM was designed by Giuseppe Merosi as a more accessible, four-cylinder alternative to the flagship RL. It featured a 2.0-litre overhead-valve engine and was available in Normal, Sport, and Unificata trims, with the Sport benefiting from a slightly increased displacement and higher compression. While less famous than its racing siblings, the RM was praised for its refinement and robust chassis, representing Alfa Romeo's efforts to capture the luxury touring market. Approximately 500 units were produced across all variants before it was succeeded by the 6C 1500.
