About the Alfa Romeo 24 HP
The 24 HP was the first model produced by A.L.F.A. (Anonima Lombarda Fabbrica Automobili) following the takeover of the Darracq plant in Milan. Designed by Giuseppe Merosi, it featured a monobloc four-cylinder engine that was remarkably advanced for its time, providing a top speed of 100 km/h. It established the brand's sporting reputation early on, competing in the 1911 Targa Florio. Its robust construction and mechanical reliability made it a commercial success, laying the foundation for Alfa Romeo's future in both luxury and motorsport.
