About the Vauxhall Vectra C
The third-generation Vauxhall Vectra, known as the Vectra C, was built on GM's Epsilon platform and served as a ubiquitous sight on UK roads during the mid-2000s. The SRi trim was positioned as the sporty choice, featuring lowered suspension, larger alloy wheels, and supportive sports seats to distinguish it from the standard fleet models. In 2006, the 1.8-litre engine was upgraded to the 'VVT' unit, providing a useful bump in power to 140 PS. While never a driver's car in the purest sense, it was praised for its high-speed stability and vast interior space.

Vauxhall Vectra C fun facts
- The 2006 facelift, often called the 'Eagle Eye' model, brought a much sharper front-end design inspired by the contemporary Astra H.
- Despite its common image, the Vectra C had a remarkably low drag coefficient of 0.28, making it very aerodynamically efficient for its time.
- The SRi trim was so popular in the UK that it often accounted for a significant portion of private Vectra sales compared to the entry-level Life or Club trims.
