About the Vauxhall Astra VXR J
The 'J' generation Astra VXR was a significant leap forward for Vauxhall's performance division, moving away from the raw, torque-steering nature of the previous 'H' model. Based on the GTC coupe body, it featured a sophisticated HiPerStrut front suspension and a mechanical Drexler limited-slip differential to manage its class-leading 400Nm of torque. The 2.0-litre A20NFT engine provided punchy mid-range performance, while the bespoke Brembo braking system offered immense stopping power. It remains a popular choice for enthusiasts due to its aggressive styling and significant tuning potential.
