About the UAZ Patriot

Launched in 2005 as a modern successor to the UAZ-3162 Simbir, the Patriot represents UAZ's attempt to combine traditional off-road capability with improved daily usability. It retains a classic body-on-frame construction with a live axle setup, making it highly durable for rural and wilderness environments. The 2.7-litre ZMZ-409.10 engine is a simple, longitudinal petrol unit designed for easy maintenance rather than high performance. While it lacks the refinement of Western SUVs, its mechanical simplicity and low cost have made it a staple for utility and off-road enthusiasts in Eastern Europe.
