About the Red Bull Racing RB16B
The RB16B was Red Bull's update of the RB16 under the rules that carried 2020 chassis into 2021, and the team spent its development tokens reshaping the gearbox casing to rearrange the rear suspension and add rear downforce. Honda brought forward its all-new RA621H power unit by a year for its final official season, with a lower, more compact camshaft layout and shorter cylinder bore spacing that Honda believed made it smaller than its 2015 'size zero' design. Max Verstappen won 10 races and Sergio Pérez one, and Verstappen beat Lewis Hamilton to the title on the final lap of the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix after a late restart. It was the first non-Mercedes car to win a championship since 2013, although Red Bull finished 28 points behind Mercedes in the constructors' standings.
