About the Nissan Terrano WD21
Launched in 1986, the WD21-generation Nissan Terrano was a landmark design that helped transition the 4x4 from a utility tool to a lifestyle vehicle. Known as the Pathfinder in North America, the JDM-spec Terrano featured the robust TD27T turbodiesel engine, a powertrain prized for its reliability and low-end torque. Its distinctive styling, featuring three triangular 'nostrils' on the bonnet and unique B-pillar windows, was penned at Nissan's San Diego design studio. While it shares a ladder-frame chassis with the D21 Hardbody pickup, the Terrano utilised a more comfortable coil-sprung rear suspension, making it a capable yet liveable classic off-roader.
