About the Nissan Rogue S35

Launched in 2007 for the 2008 model year, the Rogue was Nissan's long-awaited answer to the Toyota RAV4 and Honda CR-V. Built on the Nissan C platform shared with the Sentra, it prioritised a car-like driving experience and urban practicality over off-road capability. The first generation (S35) is notable for its rounded, Murano-inspired styling and the standard inclusion of a Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT). While it became a massive sales success for Nissan in North America, early models are often noted for their unrefined powertrain noise and CVT reliability concerns.
