About the Nissan Pulsar GTI-R
The Nissan Pulsar GTI-R (RNN14) was developed as a homologation special to allow Nissan to compete in the FIA World Rally Championship Group A category. It features a unique '54C' variant of the SR20DET engine equipped with individual throttle bodies and a top-mounted intercooler, paired with the ATTESA all-wheel-drive system derived from the R32 Skyline GT-R. Despite its aggressive styling, including a massive bonnet scoop and roof spoiler, the car struggled in WRC due to cooling issues and wheel size restrictions, leading Nissan to withdraw after only two seasons. Today, it is a highly sought-after JDM icon valued for its giant-killing performance and mechanical link to the legendary Skyline GT-R.
