About the Minardi PS05
The PS05 was the last car built by Minardi before Red Bull bought the team and renamed it Toro Rosso. Designed by Gabriele Tredozi and Andrea Rocchetto around Cosworth's TJ2005 V10, it was the team's first all-new car since the PS02 and had heavily sculpted sidepods and double-plane winglets. It made its debut at the 2005 San Marino Grand Prix and usually ran at the back, but Christijan Albers and Patrick Friesacher both scored at Indianapolis, where only six cars started. Late in the year it gained one of the first multi-profile front wings, alongside Renault and Jordan, an idea most teams adopted by the end of the decade.
