About the Minardi PS04B
The PS04B was Minardi's 2004 car, developed after Minardi bought the Arrows A23 chassis and Arrows's intellectual property, including designs for a proposed A24. Rather than run a pure Arrows, the team combined that material with the best elements of its own PS03, and period reports hinted the result owed more to the A23 than Minardi admitted. Rookie Gianmaria Bruni and Zsolt Baumgartner drove it, and Baumgartner's eighth place at the United States Grand Prix earned the team its first point in two years. The car also started the first three races of 2005 before the PS05 was ready.
