About the Mercedes-Benz G-Class W465
The W465 generation marks a significant shift for the G 500, replacing the long-standing V8 with a sophisticated 3.0-litre turbocharged inline-six engine featuring 48V mild-hybrid technology. While the iconic boxy silhouette remains, subtle aerodynamic refinements like new A-pillar cladding and a roof spoiler lip help reduce wind noise and improve efficiency. Inside, the cabin is updated with the latest MBUX infotainment system and off-road specific displays, maintaining its status as a premier luxury off-roader. Despite the loss of two cylinders, the new powertrain offers improved responsiveness and remains exceptionally capable thanks to its triple locking differentials and low-range transfer case.
