1,030 bhp

About the Mercedes-AMG F1 W12 E Performance

Designed under James Allison as a development of the title-winning W11, the W12 was hurt more than high-rake rivals by 2021 rules that cut floor downforce, and the DAS system was banned. Lewis Hamilton and Valtteri Bottas still won nine races and took nine poles and 28 podiums, with Hamilton fighting Max Verstappen for the drivers' title all season. Hamilton won the opening race in Bahrain and took his 100th Grand Prix victory in Russia, and the car delivered Mercedes' eighth consecutive Constructors' Championship. It was the first Mercedes of the turbo-hybrid era not to win the drivers' title, with Hamilton finishing second.
