About the Mercedes-AMG F1 W07 Hybrid
The F1 W07 Hybrid was developed under technical director Paddy Lowe as a refinement of the W05 and W06, with its chassis designed in Brackley and its PU106C Hybrid power unit built at Brixworth. Lewis Hamilton and Nico Rosberg won 19 of the 21 races, with 20 pole positions and 765 constructors' points, and Mercedes took its third straight Constructors' Championship with four races to spare. The rivalry between the team-mates led to collisions in Spain, where both retired on the first lap, and on the final lap in Austria, after which Mercedes introduced rules of engagement. Rosberg took the drivers' title and then announced his retirement, making the W07 the last Formula One car he raced.
