About the Lincoln MKS
The Lincoln MKS was introduced for the 2009 model year as a replacement for the LS and a modern alternative to the aging Town Car. Built on the Ford D3 platform, it shared its DNA with the Volvo S80, resulting in a robust chassis and a focus on safety. The 3.7-litre Cyclone V6 provided smooth, adequate power, though it was often overshadowed by the later EcoBoost variant. As a flagship, it debuted several Ford technologies, including the first iteration of the SYNC infotainment system and a keypad entry system integrated into the B-pillar. While it lacked the prestige of European rivals, it offered a quiet, spacious cabin and a massive 18.7 cubic-foot boot.
